About the Auto Tour

When you put four lifelong state park enthusiasts in a room together, the wheels start turning.

Kevin Szcodronski had recently purchased a 1930 Ford Model A and named it Anna Rea. Ann Raisch had always wanted to visit all the state parks in Iowa. Gerry Schnepf had spent fourteen years planning MotorIoway Vintage car-tours. And Mark Ackelson knew a thing or two about cruising all over Iowa—albeit on two wheels instead of four—as an avid cyclist and RAGBRAIer.

Together, Kevin, Ann, Gerry, and Mark have planned the ultimate summer road trip series: taking Anna Rea the Model A to every state park in Iowa in celebration of the State Parks Centennial.
